Edible Uprising Farm

Hand tended vegetables the way your grandmother grew them. Founded by two young farmers, Ben Stein and Alicia Brown, we grow over 200 varieties of heirloom vegetables and flowers on a little more than one acre of land. Our farm is hand tended, intensively planted, and ecologically focused. Our dedication is to growing life-giving food, building soil health, and offering food access within the city without the need of a car. We are passionate about growing delicious food and nurturing the community around us. We never use chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, and are committed to growing ethical, sustainable and healthy food. Our farm is located in Troy, NY.

Who We Are

We are two young first generation farmers working every day to be good land stewards by using soil science, traditional methods, experimentation and intelligent design to create systems that benefit the climate and the community around us.

Our Practices

Our farm is truly human scale. We farm on one acre without the use of a tractor, which means that everything we do takes a lot of intention and careful planning. Learn more about our principles.
