Brussels sprouts

 Storage Tips

  • Store in perforated plastic bag in refrigerator. Will store up to three weeks.

  • Only wash right before consuming, not before storing.

  • Remove any ugly outer leaves before washing.

Culinary Tips

  • We find many people overcook brussels sprouts! We find the key to a delicious sprout is a good golden sear, bright green color and just fork tender.

  • Depending on the size, cut in half, and in a bowl toss with a couple big glugs of olive oil and coarse salt.

  • You can pan sear in a cast iron pan with the lid on and finish the sprouts in a 400 degree oven until perfectly cooked, check with a fork often.

  • Try thinly slicing and tossing into salads with apples and a dressing that contains acid and oil.
