Cucamelon

 Storage Tips

  • Cucamelon store well for up to ten days in the refrigerator. Transfer to a dry, sealed plastic bag, do not wash before storing, they should be dry when stored in the refrigerator.

Culinary Tips

  • These might look like tiny watermelons, but these are actually a very small variety of cucumber, sometimes known as Sour Gherkin, Cucamelon or Mouse Melon. The longer they stay on the vine, the more tart they become, but they mostly just taste like a very crunchy cucumber.

  • We love eating them as a finger food—serve them as an appetizer with toothpicks for guests, or cut in half and toss into your salads. Garnish cocktails. Try making these little cucumbers into bite-sized pickles,
