Dill

 Storage Tips

  • Dill wilts very easily, so consuming it within the first few days of harvest is ideal. Dill is also very susceptible to developing mildew when stored, so we recommend using the “bouquet method” and filling a glass jar with an inch of cold water, taking off the rubber band around the dill and placing the ends of the stems in the water. Cover the greens with a small plastic bag. Replace water daily and store in a shady, cool place in your kitchen away from ripening fruit.

Culinary Tips

  • Pairs best with creamy ingredients. Think dairy, avocado, potatoes, and anything else that can balance the strong herbaceous notes of dill. Throw into sauces and dressings to bring the flavor up to the next level, or garnish fish with dill and lemon.
