Shiso


 

 Storage Tips

  • Fill small jar with an inch of water. Take rubber bands off of shiso bunch and put shiso stems into water. Cover greens loosely with a small plastic bag and store in refrigerator, replacing water daily.

Culinary Tips

  • Shiso is in the mint family, so if a recipe calls for mint, try replacing it with shiso for a more complex flavor

  • Fabulous addition to cocktails, finely cut on salads, mixed into salad dressings, or on top of any cooked vegetable dish. Try mixing it into cooked rice to add more flavor.
